Luke 17:1-6
Jesus said to his disciples,
“Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the one through whom they occur.
It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck
and he be thrown into the sea
than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.
Be on your guard!
If your brother sins, rebuke him;
and if he repents, forgive him.
And if he wrongs you seven times in one day
and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him.”
And the Apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed,
you would say to this mulberry tree,
‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

Lucas 17:1-6
Si Jesus ay nagsabi sa kaniyang mga alagad: Hindi maaaring ang katitisuran ay hindi dumating. Ngunit, sa aba niya na panggagalingan nito. Only God Can Give You Financial Security by Rick Warren
"But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)

As you enter your Decade of Destiny, it is important that you trust God with your finances. If you want God to bless you financially, you must remain focused on the truth that he is the source of your finances and he is the one who supplies your needs.
What does that mean? It means I'm not looking to an employer for my security. I'm not looking to my savings for security. I'm not looking to anyone or anything other than God to supply my needs.
Let me illustrate it this way: When I turn on the water, I don't really think the water comes from the faucet. I know that the water really comes from a reservoir. It just comes to me through the faucet. In the same way, the income that God wants to give you may come through a job or through something else.
But the source is God.
If you trust in a bank account, the bank account can be taken away. If you trust in your savings, you can lose it. The only true security you can have is when you put your trust in God. He is the starting point of your finances. He is the one and only true source of your finances.
This means you don't need to worry about which faucet he uses to supply your needs. In a sense he says, 'If I turn off one faucet, I can just as easily turn on another. If you lose one job, I can give you another. I am your source, not your job. I am your source, not your bank account.'

Our Gospel for Nov 7. The Question about the Resurrection.
Luke 20:27-38
Some Sadducees, those who deny that there is a resurrection, came forward and put this question to Jesus, saying, "Teacher, Moses wrote for us,
If someone's brother dies leaving a wife but no child, his brother must take the wife
and raise up descendants for his brother.
Now there were seven brothers; the first married a woman but died childless.
Then the second and the third married her, and likewise all the seven died childless.
Finally the woman also died. Now at the resurrection whose wife will that woman be?
For all seven had been married to her."
Jesus said to them,
"The children of this age marry and remarry; but those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age and to the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.
They can no longer die, for they are like angels; and they are the children of God
because they are the ones who will rise. That the dead will rise even Moses made known in the passage about the bush, when he called out 'Lord, ' the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive."

Nagtanong sila sa kaniya: Guro, si Moises ay sumulat sa amin na kapag mamatay ang kapatid na lalaking may asawa at walang anak, dapat kunin ng kapatid niyang lalaki ang asawa nito. Kukunin ng kapatid ang asawang babae upang magkaanak para sa kaniyang kapatid na namatay.
Mayroon ngang pitong magkakapatid na lalaki. Ang una ay nag-asawa at namatay na walang anak. Kinuha siya ng pangalawa upang maging asawa at ang lalaki ay namatay na walang anak. Ang babae ay kinuha ng pangatlo at hanggang sa pampito, gayon ang nangyari. Wala silang iniwang anak at namatay. Sa kahuli-hulihan, namatay din ang babae. Kung magkagayon, sa muling pagkabuhay, kaninong asawa siya? Ito ay sapagkat naging asawa siya ng pito.
Sumagot si Jesus: Ang mga anak ng kapanahunang ito ay nag-aasawa at ikinakasal. Ngunit sa kanila na itinuring na karapat-dapat na magtamo ng kapanahunang darating at ng muling pagkabuhay mula sa mga patay ay hindi nag-aasawa ni ikinakasal. Our Gospel for Nov 6. Money as a Tool for Serving God and others.
Luke 16:9-15
Jesus said to his disciples:
“I tell you, make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth,
so that when it fails, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.
The person who is trustworthy in very small matters
is also trustworthy in great ones;
and the person who is dishonest in very small matters
is also dishonest in great ones.
If, therefore, you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth,
who will trust you with true wealth?
If you are not trustworthy with what belongs to another,
who will give you what is yours?
No servant can serve two masters.
He will either hate one and love the other,
or be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and mammon.”
The Pharisees, who loved money,
heard all these things and sneered at him.
And he said to them,
“You justify yourselves in the sight of others,
but God knows your hearts;
for what is of human esteem is an abomination in the sight of God.”
Lucas 16:9-15
Sinasabi ko sa inyo: Makipagkaibigan kayo sa pamamagitan ng kayamanan ng di-matuwid. Ito ay upang kung kayo ay maubusan, matatanggap nila kayo sa walang hanggang tirahan.
Ang matapat sa kakaunti ay matapat din sa marami. Ang hindi matuwid sa kakaunti ay hindi rin matuwid sa marami. Kaya nga, kung hindi kayo naging matapat sa hindi matuwid na kayamanan, paano pang ipagkakatiwala sa inyo ang tunay na kayamanan? Kung hindi kayo naging matapat sa pag-aari ng iba, sino ang magbibigay sa inyo ng sa inyong sarili?
Walang lingkod na makakapaglingkod sa dalawang panginoon sapagkat kapopootan niya ang isa at iibigin ang isa o kaya magtatapat siya sa isa at mamumuhi sa isa. Hindi kayo makakapaglingkod sa Diyos at sa kayamanan.
Ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito ay narinig ng mga Fariseo. Dahil sa sila ay mga maibigin sa salapi, nilibak nila siya. Sinabi niya sa kanila: Kayo yaong mga nagmamatuwid sa inyong mga sarili sa harap ng mga tao. Ngunit alam ng Diyos ang inyong mga puso sapagkat kung ano ang lubos na pinahahalagahan ng mga tao ay kasuklam-suklam sa harap ng Diyos.

Our Gospel for Nov 5. The Dishonest Steward.
Luke 16:1-8
Jesus said to his disciples, “A rich man had a steward who was reported to him for squandering his property. He summoned him and said,‘What is this I hear about you? Prepare a full account of your stewardship, because you can no longer be my steward.’
The steward said to himself, ‘What shall I do, now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me? I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg. I know what I shall do so that, when I am removed from the stewardship, they may welcome me into their homes.’
He called in his master’s debtors one by one. To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note. Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’ Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’ He replied, ‘One hundred measures of wheat.’He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note; write one for eighty.’ And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently.For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than the children of light.”

Tinawag niya ang katiwala at sinabi dito: Ano itong naririnig ko patungkol sa iyo? Magbigay ka ng sulit sa iyong pagiging katiwala dahil hindi ka na maaaring maging katiwala.
Sinabi ng katiwala sa kaniyang sarili: Ano ang gagawin ko? Inaalis na ng panginoon ang aking pagiging katiwala. Hindi na ako makakapaghukay, nahihiya naman akong mamalimos. Alam ko na ang gagawin ko upang kung alisin ako sa pagiging katiwala, matatanggap nila ako sa kanilang mga bahay.
Tinawag niya ang bawat isang may utang sa kaniyang panginoon. Sinabi niya sa una: Magkano ang utang mo sa aking panginoon? Sinabi sa kaniya: Isandaang bariles ng langis. Sinabi ng katiwala sa kaniya: Kunin mo ang listahan ng utang mo. Maupo ka kaagad at ang isulat mo ay limampu.
Sinabi niya sa isa: Ikaw, magkano ang utang mo? Sinabi sa kaniya: Isandaang malalaking sukat ng trigo. Sinabi ng katiwala sa kaniya: Kunin mo ang listahan ng utang mo at ang isulat mo ay walumpu.
Ang hindi matapat na katiwala ay pinuri ng panginoon sapagkat siya ay gumawang may katusuhan. Ito ay sapagkat ang mga tao sa kapanahunang ito, sa sarili nilang lahi, ay higit na tuso kaysa sa mga tao ng liwanag.
