Your boss is not really your boss; your boss is Jesus.
There are two things I want you to see in our verses today.
* First, it says, "Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people" (Colossians 3:23 NLT). It's easier to be enthusiastic about your job when you turn the focus of your work from "I'm doing this for my boss" or "I'm doing this for a paycheck" to "I'm doing this for the Lord," With that in mind you can do anything - scrape paint, wash dishes, repair a car - and turn it into worship.
* Second, when you turn your work into worship, you start storing up credits in heaven. Colossians 3:24 says, "Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ" (Colossians 3:24 NLT). As you work for God, you are making eternal deposits in heaven.
"So whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV). It doesn't matter if you're rearranging papers or signing bills, any job can become an act of worship if you do it enthusiastically for God.

Our Gospel for Dec 1. The Feeding of the Four Thousand
At that time:
Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee,
went up on the mountain, and sat down there. Great crowds came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute, and many others. They placed them at his feet, and he cured them. The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel.
Jesus summoned his disciples and said,
“My heart is moved with pity for the crowd, for they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, for fear they may collapse on the way.” The disciples said to him, “Where could we ever get enough bread in this deserted place to satisfy such a crowd?” Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?”
“Seven,” they replied, “and a few fish.” He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, gave thanks, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied. They picked up the fragments left over–seven baskets full. Those who ate were four thousand men, not counting women and children.

Pagkaalis ni Jesus doon, nagtungo siya sa tabi ng lawa ng Galilea. Umahon siya sa isang bundok at doon naupo. Lumapit sa kaniya ang napakaraming tao. Dinala nila ang mga pilay, ang mga bulag, ang mga pipi at ang mga may kapansanan, at marami pang iba. Inilagay nila sila sa kaniyang paanan at pinagaling niya sila. Namangha ang napakaraming tao nang makita nilang nakapagsalita na ang mga pipi, gumaling na ang mga may kapansanan, nakalakad na ang mga lumpo at nakakita na ang mga bulag. At niluwalhati nila ang Diyos ng Israel.
Kaya tinawag ni Jesus ang kaniyang mga alagad at pinalapit sa kaniya. Sinabi niya: Nahahabag ako sa napakaraming taong ito sapagkat tatlong araw na silang sumusunod sa akin at wala man lang silang makain. Hindi ko ibig na pauwiin silang gutom at baka manlupaypay sila sa daan.
Sinabi ng kaniyang mga alagad sa kaniya: Saan tayo kukuha sa ilang na ito ng sapat na tinapay upang mabusog ang napakaraming taong ito?
Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila: Ilang tinapay mayroon kayo? Sinabi nila: Pito at ilang maliliit na isda.
Inutusan niya ang mga tao na umupo sa lupa. Kinuha niya ang pitong tinapay at ang mga isda. Nagpasalamat siya at pinagputul-putol ang mga ito. Ibinigay niya ang mga ito sa kaniyang mga alagad at ibinigay naman ng mga alagad sa napakaraming tao. Kumain silang lahat at nabusog. Pinulot nila ang mga lumabis sa mga pinagputul-putol at nakapuno sila ng pitong kaing. Ang kumain ay apat na libong lalaki, bukod pa sa mga babae at mga bata.

Our Gospel for Nov 30. The Call of the First Disciples.
As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers,
Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
At once they left their nets and followed him. He walked along from there and saw two other brothers,
James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed him.
Tinawag ni Jesus ang Unang mga Alagad.
Mateo 4:18-22
Habang si Jesus ay naglalakad sa tabi ng lawa ng Galilea, nakita niya ang magkapatid. Sila ay sina Simon na tinatawag na Pedro at ang nakakabata niyang kapatid na si Andres. Naghahagis sila ng lambat sa lawa sapagkat sila ay mga mangingisda. Sinabi niya sa kanila: Sumunod kayo sa akin at gagawin ko kayong mamamalakaya ng mga tao. Kaagad nilang iniwan ang kanilang mga lambat at sumunod sa kaniya.
Sa pagpapatuloy niya sa paglalakad, nakita niya ang magkapatid na Santiago at Juan. Sila ay nasa bangka at nag-aayos ng lambat kasama ang kanilang amang si Zebedeo. At tinawag sila ni Jesus. Agad-agad nilang iniwan ang kanilang bangka at ang kanilang ama at sumunod sa kaniya.

When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying,
“Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully.” He said to him, “I will come and cure him.”
The centurion said in reply, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof;
only say the word and my servant will be healed.
For I too am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes; and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith. I say to you, many will come from the east and the west, and will recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the banquet in the Kingdom of heaven.”

Nang pumasok na si Jesus sa Capernaum, may lumapit sa kaniya na isang kapitan na namamanhik sa kaniya. Sinabi ng kapitan: Panginoon, ang aking lingkod ay nakaratay sa bahay, lumpo at lubhang nahihirapan. Sinabi ni Jesus sa kaniya: Ako ay paroroon at pagagalingin ko siya.
Ngunit sumagot ang kapitan: Panginoon, hindi ako karapat-dapat na ikaw ay pumasok sa aking bahay. Ngunit magsalita ka lamang at mapapagaling mo na ang aking lingkod. Ito ay sapagkat ako rin naman ay isang taong nasa ilalim ng kapamahalaan na may nasasakupang mga kawal. Sinasabi ko sa isang tao: Pumaroon ka. At pumaparoon siya. Sinasabi ko naman sa iba: Halika. At lumalapit siya. Sa aking alipin naman ay sinasabi ko: Gawin mo ito. At kaniya itong ginagawa.
Namangha si Jesus nang marinig niya ito. Sinabi niya sa mga sumusunod sa kaniya: Katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo: Kahit sa mga taga-Israel ay hindi ko nasumpungan ang ganito kalaking pananampalataya. Sinasabi ko sa inyo na marami ang manggagaling sa silangan at kanluran at kakaing kasama ni Abraham, Isaac at Jacob sa paghahari ng langit.

The Unknown Day and Hour.
Mt 24:37-44
Jesus said to his disciples:
“As it was in the days of Noah,
so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
In those days before the flood,
they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage,
up to the day that Noah entered the ark.
They did not know until the flood came and carried them all away.
So will it be also at the coming of the Son of Man.
Two men will be out in the field;
one will be taken, and one will be left.
Two women will be grinding at the mill;
one will be taken, and one will be left.
Therefore, stay awake!
For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Be sure of this: if the master of the house
had known the hour of night when the thief was coming,
he would have stayed awake
and not let his house be broken into.
So too, you also must be prepared,
for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.”

Sila ay nag-aasawa at ipinakikipagkasundo sa pag-aasawa hanggang sa araw na pumasok si Noe sa loob ng daong. Hindi nila ito nalaman hanggang sa dumating ang baha at kinuha silang lahat. Gayon nga ang pagdating ng Anak ng Tao. Sa araw na iyon, dalawa ang nasa bukid. Ang isa ay kukunin at ang isa ay iiwan. Dalawang babae ang naggigiling sa gilingan. Ang isa ay kukunin at ang isa ay iiwan.
Kaya nga, dapat kayong magbantay sapagkat hindi ninyo alam kung anong oras darating ang inyong Panginoon. Ngunit alamin ninyo ito: Kung alam ng may-ari ng sambahayan ang oras ng pagdating ng magnanakaw, siya ay magbabantay. Hindi niya pababayaang mawasak ang kaniyang bahay. Kaya nga, kayo rin ay maging handa sapagkat darating ang Anak ng Tao sa oras na hindi ninyo inaakala.
