 Luke 16:19-31
Jesus said to the Pharisees: "There was a rich man who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day. And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man's table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores. When the poor man died, he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, and from the netherworld, where he was in torment, he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he cried out, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering torment in these flames.' Abraham replied, 'My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented. Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go from our side to yours or from your side to ours.' He said, 'Then I beg you, father, send him to my father's house, for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they too come to this place of torment.' But Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.' He said, 'Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' Then Abraham said, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'"

      my reflection...
Since i've heard and learn the gospel, the true salvation Im trying to do such good thing and if there are times that ive made mistakes or hurt anyone ill try to cover up what ive done wrong, i'll try to set it clear like ...what the gospel said. that's why the only one i ask for is to share the knowledge i have, if you made someone hurt, do something you have a chance to accept what youve done and say sorry. while you have a chance, do it now. just like the rich man he repent too late, he was not able to share the message or warn them whats waiting for them in 2nd life.See More

The message of our Gospel today says about a great "chasm" established between what looks like heaven and hell.

This part of the Gospel today struck me because it implies that once you're doomed, there's no chance of crossing to the other side which is comfort (heaven) from the torment of flames (hell). Hence, it leads us also that there is the presence of heaven and hell.

Second, the "sin" of ignoring a person who is in need of shelter, food and caring could also lead us to the "flames", although others believe that it's not our business anymore, but just like the rich person who shows no mercy, he ended up in the "torment of flames."

I believe it is everyone's responsibility to extend help whenever one is needed. Let's open up our hearts to the needy, the poor, and the sick. So that we may continue receiving God's blessing.

Lord, I pray that we strive to help people in need, as often as we can and bless us with compassion to enable us to extend the sincere service of helping other people.

      God bless!

The feeling is mutual sis. Sa Bible sharing it's not important kung magkakaiba tayo ng interpretation. Maski nga sa mass, subukan mong magsimba ng magkasunod na Misa, You'll be surprised magkaiba ang sermon ng Pari. It's really amazing how ...God works. Everyday me ibat iba tayong natututunan sa kanya. You'll be more spiritual than religious.

God bless you and your family!

After all the talks i've heard, nalaman ko na you make your own life he...re on earth. If you want to be happy, gawin mo ang magagawa pa para maging happy ka. pagtanggap lang yun sa situation mo ngayon.we make our own decisions. if we want to make our life hell here on earth well, it's our choice. si Lord e laging andyan, if we need them. Pero sa mga decisions natin na kasama Siya e siguradong we will never go wrong. It's our choice.See More
