Our Gospel for Oct 28. The Mission of the Twelve.

Luke 6:12-16
Jesus went up to the mountain to pray,
and he spent the night in prayer to God. When day came, he called his disciples to himself, and from them he chose Twelve, whom he also named Apostles: Simon, whom he named Peter, and his brother Andrew,
James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called a Zealot, and Judas the son of James,
and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

Tinawag ni Jesus ang Labindalawang Alagad

Lucas 6:12-16

Jesus started his ministry by himself but later on decided to chose the Twelve Apostles to help him in his mission.

Being the Chairman and CEO, the Twelve are his managers (legwork), in charge of making sure that the organization would go on to the next level. Using the Leadership by Example, Jesus taught His disciples every step of the way on how to grow the organization(Christianity).

Just as he chose them, Jesus requires workers like us to continue spreading His mission.

Being a subordinate of Jesus is the ultimate privilege for us since He is the best CEO in the whole universe.

Lord, thank you for calling us to be your subordinate. You are a forgiving boss and no matter how many times I commit mistakes, you just warn me and sometimes I got suspended but after that you always give me lessons in order not to repeat the same mistakes again. In the end I always get back to work refreshed and renewed and ready to take in the next challenge.

I would also like to tell you that you are the best Boss, because no matter how worthless I am, as long as you see that I am willing to learn, you still keep me in my task and never terminate me from my job.

Thank you Lord God for the opportunity to serve you.

Your obedient subordinate,

Ed
