Luke 10: 25-37
There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test Jesus and said,
“Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law?
How do you read it?”
He said in reply,
“You shall love the Lord, your God,
with all your heart,
with all your being,
with all your strength,
and with all your mind,
and your neighbor as yourself.”
He replied to him, “You have answered correctly;
do this and you will live.”
But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus,
“And who is my neighbor?”
Jesus replied,
“A man fell victim to robbers
as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho.
They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead.
A priest happened to be going down that road,
but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
Likewise a Levite came to the place,
and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him
was moved with compassion at the sight.
He approached the victim,
poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them.
Then he lifted him up on his own animal,
took him to an inn, and cared for him.
The next day he took out two silver coins
and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction,
‘Take care of him.
If you spend more than what I have given you,
I shall repay you on my way back.’
Which of these three, in your opinion,
was neighbor to the robbers’ victim?”
He answered, “The one who treated him with mercy.”
Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

Luke 15:1-32
"Tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus, but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." So to them he addressed this parable. "What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it? And when he does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them, 'Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.
"Or what woman having ten coins and losing one would not light a lamp and sweep the house, searching carefully until she finds it? And when she does find it, she calls together her friends and neighbors and says to them, 'Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.' In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
Then he said, "A man had two sons, and the younger son said to his father, 'Father give me the share of your estate that should come to me.' So the father divided the property between them. After a few days, the younger son collected all his belongings and set off to a distant country where he squandered his inheritance on a life of dissipation. When he had freely spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he found himself in dire need. So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens who sent him to his farm to tend the swine. And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed, but nobody gave him any. Coming to his senses he thought, 'How many of my father's hired workers have more than enough food to eat, but here am I, dying from hunger. I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I no longer deserve to be called your son; treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers."' So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. His son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.' But his father ordered his servants, 'Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.' Then the celebration began. Now the older son had been out in the field and, on his way back, as he neared the house, he heard the sound of music and dancing. He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean. The servant said to him, 'Your brother has returned and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.' He became angry, and when he refused to enter the house, his father came out and pleaded with him. He said to his father in reply, 'Look, all these years I served you and not once did I disobey your orders; yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends. But when your son returns, who swallowed up your property with prostitutes, for him you slaughter the fattened calf.' He said to him, 'My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.'"

Edgardo Lucena These are the parables of Love and Mercy. God is a good shepherd and whatever it takes to get you back he will not forsake you nor leave you because he is a caring God. Regardless of the number of times we fail Him, he is always willing to forgive, as long as we have a sincere heart, asking for forgiveness. God bless you all!

Luke 7:1-10
"When Jesus had finished all his words to the people, he entered Capernaum. A centurion there had a slave who was ill and about to die, and he was valuable to him. When he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and save the life of his slave. They approached Jesus and strongly urged him to come, saying, "He deserves to have you do this for him, for he loves our nation and he built the synagogue for us." And Jesus went with them, but when he was only a short distance from the house, the centurion sent friends to tell him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof. Therefore, I did not consider myself worthy to come to you; but say the word and let my servant be healed. For I too am a person subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come here,' and he comes; and to my slave, 'Do this,' and he does it." When Jesus heard this he was amazed at him and, turning, said to the crowd following him, "I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith." When the messengers returned to the house, they found the slave in good health." · · · Share

- Edgardo LucenaThe Christian value of Faith in God enables us Christians to be patient and persevere even though Jesus promises of eternal life is unseen and unrealized in this present time.
If we have faith even as small as a mustard seed, this will sol...ve all our problems in life. Our Faith also enables us to do good to one another and strive to be true Christians in the eyes of our lord.
Our Faith also makes us happy and fulfilled in every moment of our lives.
"Lord give us the strength to carry on and give us a trusting heart to rely on you. In Jesus name. Amen!

Juan 3:13-17
"Walang umakyat sa langit kundi ang bumaba mula sa langit- ang Anak ng Tao.
At kung paanong itinaas ni Moises ang ahas doon sa ilang, gayon din naman, kailangang itaas ang Anak ng Tao, upang ang sinumang sumasampalataya sa kaniya ay magkaroon ng buhay na walang hanggan.
Gayun na lamang ang pagibig ng Diyos sa sanlibutan, kaya ibinigay niya ang kaniyang bugtong na Anak, upang ang sumampalataya sa kaniya ay hindi mapahamak, kundi magkaroon ng buhay na walang hanggan. Sapagkat sinugo ng Diyos ang kaniyang anak, hindi upang hatulang maparusahan ang sanlibutan kundi upang iligtas ito sa pamamagitan niya."

- Edgardo LucenaMalalim ang katotohanang ito, dahil marami sa atin ang hindi nakakaalam sa tunay na kahulugan ng pagbubuwis ng buhay ng ating panginoong Hesukristo para sa atin. Ito'y dahil sa Pagibig sa atin ng Diyos Ama - kaya't isinugo niya ang kanyang ...bugtong na Anak upang iligtas tayo sa ating mga kasalanan.
Kaya kailangan nating itaas si Hesukristo bilang ating panginoon at tagapagligtas. Kung nalulungkot ka, nagdadalamhati at pakiramdam mo ay wala ng nagmamahal sa yo, tignan mo si Hesus na nakapako sa Krus at malalaman mo kung gaano kalaki ang pagibig sa yo ng Diyos. Mayeth Dacayo Manuel mayroon akong picture frame na nakasabit sa bahay namin. ang it says " It wasn't nails that held HIm to the cross but His love for you and me" God is so good. Sa totoo lang, sa dami ng mga pinag daanan nating mga trials, we become closer to Him. Di ba kung minsan pag marami tayong blessings and lalo na pag marami tayong pera parang masyado tayong abala sa ibat ibang bag...ay like parties, shopping, happenings and we end up tired and just say a little prayer and go straight to bed? Parang konti lang yung time natin to pray and thank Him, but pag may mabigat tayong problema mas madalas tayong magdasal? That's why trials makes us closer to Him. It's a wake up call from God.
You're right in saying that you will forever thank Him for all the things He's done for you , I agree because Thanksgiving is the core of our prayers. We should forever Thank him for all the wonderful things He has done for us and for our family. Thank you for your refection.

John 19:25-27
Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." I remember this verse when I read today's gospel.
Oftentimes, due to the complexities of life and the Zoom g...eneration, we tend to take our parents for granted. What's worst is that, sometimes we forget to honor them.
As a child and now a parent to my own children, I pray lord God that I may always be a good father, and if there are shortcomings I may have intentionally or unintentionally committed to my parents, I ask for your forgiveness.
Some of us may not be lucky enough to see our parents around anymore. While you still can, show them your love, your care, your patience and your understanding. And God will bless you for it.
