Matthew 5:13-16
Jesus said to his disciples:
“You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned?
It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world.A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.”
Kayo ay Asin at Ilaw
Mateo 5:13-16

So that others may see our good deeds and glorify our heavenly father, we should become the salt and light of this world.
Salt and light acts as a catalyst, they make a difference by their presence.
If you're a cook, you and your guest knows that you forgot to salt the potato or whatever dishes that needs salt. Salt makes the food safer, healthier or zestier.
Same thing with light. Light brightens up a room so that we can see where were going, so we don't trip and fall.
Salt and Light really makes the difference in our lives and this is the message of our Gospel today.
As Christians, we, like light and salt have to make a difference. Each one of us is sent to places where we live and work to give flavor and brighten up the surroundings by our shining light.
God bless you all forever!
