Our Gospel for January 27. The Parable of the Lamp.

Mk 4:21-25

Jesus said to his disciples,“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand?
For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light.Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.”
He also told them, “Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you,and still more will be given to you. To the one who has, more will be given;from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”

Ang Ilawan sa Ibabaw ng Patungan

Marcos 4:21-25

Jesus is the light of the world who's mission is to preach the good news and to bring healing and blessings to the people. When Jesus came to this world He brought us Hope, Peace in our Hearts, Minds and Souls. He is the true Savior. When He heals. it is out of love and passion to those who suffer and it's a proof that he listens to us. He corrected the notion that sickness is punishment from God as it was the belief in the past.

As Christians, it is our mission to share the light to our family and neighbor.

Nowadays, it is a challenge to walk in righteousness due to the pressures of dishonesty, corruption, injustices, abuses, etc. The message is to remain firm and calm regardless of these forces around us and to continue to share and shed light to others in darkness and we should not be afraid of doing so.

As parents, we should be a good role model for our children, as Children, we must respect our parents so that we become the source of their joy and happiness. As a neighbor, we should respect the rights of every individual, love, respect and fairness should be at the top of our mind whether we are employees, friends, employers, husbands or wives.

The more you give to others, the more you will receive and this is the package presented to our gospel today. It is given and it is a fact of life. This is not only in terms of financial matters but this is also true in emotion, situation and circumstances. The more you love, the more you will receive Love. The more patient you become, people will be more patient to you. The more you share your friendship, the more friends you will have, etc., etc.

Let's always be the bearer of God's light so that we can share to others the blessings that we receive from Him at all times.

God bless you all forever!
